Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Instant Press Co. (“Instant Press,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit instantpress.co, sign up for one of our tools, or work with us as a client. We wrote it in plain language. If something is unclear, email team@instantpress.co and we will explain.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you book a call, request a free audit, fill out one of our tool forms, or become a client, we collect what you submit: your name, email, company, website, and anything you write in a message field. If you become a paying client, we collect billing information through our payment processor (Stripe). We never see your full card number.
Information collected automatically
When you load a page, our analytics tools log your IP address, approximate location, browser, device, referrer URL, the pages you visit, and how you interact with them. Some of this is recorded as a video-style replay if you accept the optional tracking described in the cookie policy.
Information from third parties
If you book a call through Calendly, Calendly shares your name, email, and any answers you gave on the booking form with us. If you are an existing client, we may receive analytics data about your sites from Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar platforms you have authorized.
How we use it
- To respond to your messages, deliver a free audit you requested, or run a tool you submitted to.
- To deliver the services a client has retained us for: research, content, outreach, reporting.
- To improve the site and our offers based on what visitors actually do.
- To send relevant follow-up emails after you book a call or run a tool. You can unsubscribe from any of these at any time.
- To meet legal obligations such as tax, accounting, or responding to lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers for retargeting beyond the limited use described in our cookie policy.
Who we share it with
We use a small set of vendors to run the business. They only get the data they need to do their job, and they are contractually required to keep it confidential.
- Google — Analytics, Tag Manager, Workspace (email and docs)
- Vercel — site hosting and traffic analytics
- Microsoft Clarity — session recording (only after you accept the cookie banner)
- PostHog — product analytics and optional session recording (recording only after you accept)
- Calendly — call booking
- Stripe — payment processing for clients
- SuiteDash — client portal and project management
- Mailgun / Resend — transactional and marketing email delivery
We may share information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect against fraud. If Instant Press is ever acquired or merges with another business, your data may transfer to the successor under the same protections in this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep client and prospect records for as long as your relationship with us is active and for up to seven years after, to satisfy tax and legal requirements. Analytics data is retained according to each tool’s default policy: GA4 keeps it for 14 months, Clarity for 30 days, PostHog for 12 months on our plan. Email lists are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to it being used for direct marketing. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what categories of information are collected and shared, and the right to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing.” EU and UK residents have rights under the GDPR.
To exercise any of these rights, email team@instantpress.co with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
Cookies and tracking
We explain every cookie and tracker the site uses, and how to opt in or out, in the dedicated cookie policy.
Children
The site is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We protect data with TLS in transit, vendor-managed encryption at rest, single sign-on for our team, and least-privilege access. Nothing on the internet is bulletproof, but we take reasonable steps. If we ever discover a breach that affects you, we will notify you within the timelines required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the last change. Material changes will be posted prominently on this page, and where we have your email, we will notify you.
